This morning's objectives are to:
1. Become familiar with Delicious, a social bookmarking resource.
2. Increase our abilities to evaluate websites and effectively research.
3. Identify and analyze key information to answer specific questions about the Supreme Court and use that information to complete a mind map using Inspiration.
AGENDA
1. OPENER:
A. Please go to www.delicious.com
B. Join the site, record your username and password somewhere
C. Explore the initial information on the site under Getting Started and figure out what Delicious.com is all about and how it will be useful- write a quick post about it in your virtual notebook discussion page
2. Go to http://BMaxVirtualNotebook.wikispaces.com and on my resources page open the link for the researching guide. Take a read through it and create a link to it on your own resources page.
3. Also add a link to your Delicious page in your resources page.
4. Open your Inspiration document and make sure your Supreme Court research topic/question is in the middle. We will now work on independent research, cataloging that research, and starting to complete your mind map. This will take some skill to be able to efficiently bounce among a number of documents and sites. Keep open:
A. your Inspiration mind map
B. your delicious page
C. the internet researching guide
D. your virtual notebook
E. at least one tab for searching the internet using google or whatever engine you like.
